Living a Life of Faith
By Catholic Cemetery staff
Following the example of his parent’s faith, and led by love for the Lord and the Blessed Mother, artist Jason Jenicke, son of Gerry and Wayne Jenicke, former Executive Director of Cemeteries for the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, recognized the importance of faith in his own life. “From there I discovered the most fulfilling way to use my God given ability would be to do religious artwork,” he explained.
Originally from Kansas City, Jason recently graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Fine Arts. He is currently in the process of developing his own business centered on religious artwork.
“When I first came to KU,” he said, “I never envisioned myself doing religious art; I always though I would end up in the illustration business. Luckily for me, however, I was blessed to find the Saint Lawrence Catholic Campus Center, where I became involved in my faith on an entirely new level.”
